TukTuk’s Vicky retains Member of the Year Award at Annual BforB Awards

It was a surprising evening for Vicky of web design and creative marketing company, TukTuk, at the Business for Breakfast (BforB) award’s night on 9th November. For the second year running Vicky was presented with the Member of the Year Award at the glittering event at the Old Trafford Cricket Club.

Having started TukTuk four years ago Vicky joined BforB in 2016. BforB is a network referral marketing group priding itself on working with small businesses towards growth and building relationships. Vicky’s outstanding commitment to the group, which meets every two weeks at 6.45am at the Moat House Hotel on Festival Park saw her stand out as the clear winner.

Vicky’s own focus is about how can she help the other small businesses in the room, who can they be introduced to, who might be a great connection. She became Local Director and working with another of the members, Jonathan Pepper of Delphos eforms Ltd, they’ve developed an app to enhance and simplify communications with the group. Vicky is one of the most active members in inviting guests allowing the group to grow and pass more business, over £300,000 has been passed in 2018 alone.

Vicky is also at the forefront of supporting the rest of the members across social media channels, sharing their posts and participating in #BforBHour weekly.

Vicky says, “It was an unexpected honour to not only be nominated but to win the Member of the Year Award in 2018 after the surprise of winning in 2017 too. I love being involved with the group, despite the early start! It’s been great seeing the group grow and we are all learning from each other constantly.”

For the Staffordshire BforB group it was an incredibly successful night as along with Vicky being awarded Member of the Year, Matthew Dashper Hughes of the same group won Best Moderator and Jonathan Lawton of the Newcastle Under Lyme was awarded Referral Master. Dawn McGovern from the Friday Moat House Hotel group was runner up in the Referral Master category and Pam Allen was runner up in Member of the Year representing Stoke Ladies.
